We sell the line, not just fit it. Parts are ordered through AEV directly rather than through a third party, warranty questions come to us instead of to a retailer who never saw your truck, and we can quote a build properly because we know what the catalog actually contains.

It also means we will tell you when AEV is the wrong answer. It is engineered, expensive kit, and there are trucks and budgets where a simpler build gets you most of what you want. We would rather say so than sell you a package you did not need.

Why the engineering costs more

The difference between a suspension system and a lift kit is what happens to everything else. Height is easy; keeping steering geometry, ride quality, and driveline angles sane at that height is the hard part, and it is the part you feel every day for the next five years. The same logic applies to a bumper that has to coexist with sensor and airbag behavior, or a wheel that has to carry a loaded three-quarter-ton truck.

Whatever goes on, we align it afterward and check the brakes, steering, and suspension for the load they are now carrying.

Why buy AEV through a diesel shop instead of an off-road shop?

Because on a Ram HD or a Duramax, the truck under the kit is a diesel. Ride height, tire size, and added weight change how the driveline, brakes, cooling, and steering are loaded, and a shop that only fits accessories will not be looking at any of that. We service these trucks every day, so the build and the truck get looked at together — and when it comes back for a service interval, it comes back to the people who put it together.

Will a lift affect my emissions system or my warranty?

Nothing in the AEV line we fit touches your emissions equipment, and we do not remove or bypass any of it. On warranty: a manufacturer cannot void your entire powertrain warranty simply because you fitted aftermarket parts, but they can decline a specific claim if the part caused the failure. Talk to us about your truck before you buy, and we will tell you honestly where we think the risk sits.

Can you order AEV parts if I want to fit them myself?

Yes. Call us and we will quote the parts. We would rather do the install so we know how it went on, but we are not going to refuse to sell you a bumper.
