US-290 Corridor Truck Repair

East 290 is our corridor — Manor, Elgin, and the freight running toward Houston.

Getting here from US-290

US-290 East meets FM 973 just north of the shop, so for anything on this corridor we are one turn off the highway.

US-290 East is the Houston-bound route out of Austin, and the towns on it — Manor and Elgin especially — are the closest to our bays. The traffic is a mix of through freight, aggregate and materials hauling, construction fleets working rapid growth, and the agricultural equipment that has always been out here.

What runs US-290

  • Houston-bound freight — Through trucks running east, plus the regional fleets feeding the corridor.
  • Aggregate and materials — Sand, gravel, and brick hauling — heavy trucks on rough surfaces, working hard.
  • Construction growth — Residential and commercial building pushing east through Manor toward Elgin.
  • Agriculture — Working farms east of Manor with tractors, implements, and farm trucks.
  • Our closest highway — FM 973 meets 290 minutes from the shop, which is why so much of this corridor is already our customer base.

What US-290 fleets use us for most

We are an independent, family-owned shop — not a chain, not private equity — at 2900 N FM 973, Austin, TX 78725. That means the person who owns it is the person you can get on the phone, and nobody here is working a corporate quota.

Common questions

Which towns on 290 do you serve?

Manor and Elgin most of all — both have their own pages — plus everything between them and the shop. Further east toward Giddings we still take the work, but for a routine service a closer shop may make more sense and we will say so.

Do you handle aggregate and dump trucks?

Yes. Heavy vocational work is hard on brakes, suspension, and frames, and those trucks come in with predictable wear. We handle air brakes, suspension, alignment, and the DOT inspection to certify it, usually in the same visit.

Can you service farm equipment from this corridor?

Yes — tractors, loaders, and the diesel engines in them, plus the trucks and trailers that move them. On a fleet account we schedule around your season instead of interrupting it.
