Diesel Makes & Engine Platforms We Service

Every platform fails its own way. We know how yours does.

An independent shop — no dealer affiliation — with real experience on the engines and trucks running Central Texas. Every make below has a page on how it actually fails and what we do about it. Pick yours, or call 512-717-2777.

Truck makes

Class 6 through Class 8, in full-size bays

Highway tractors, vocational trucks, and box trucks — with the lifts, alignment equipment, and air-system tooling the work actually requires.

Specialty

The ones other shops turn away

Vans, imports, off-road equipment, and vehicles most shops will not touch. These have service pages rather than make pages, but the work is the same standard.

Not seeing yours? The list is what we see most, not what we are limited to — call 512-717-2777 and describe the vehicle. See also the full list of services we perform on all of them.

Mixed fleets

One account, every make

Most fleets we service are not brand-loyal — pickups, box trucks, semis, trailers, and equipment across a half-dozen makes. That is normal here, and it is exactly what a fleet account is for: one contact, one invoice, and nobody splitting the fleet across a dealer, a tire shop, and a mobile van.

FAQ

Common questions

  • Are you a dealer or factory-authorized for any of these makes?

No. Modern Diesel is an independent shop with no dealer affiliation and no manufacturer authorization. We service these makes; we do not represent them. In practice that means nobody is working to a franchise quota, and you can talk to the person who owns the shop.

  • My make is not listed. Can you still work on it?

Usually yes. The pages here are the makes we see most often and know deeply enough to write about honestly — they are not the limit of what we service. Call 512-717-2777 and describe the vehicle. If it is genuinely outside what we should take on, we will say so rather than learn on your truck.

  • Do you have the diagnostic software for modern trucks?

Yes — current diagnostic equipment is a standing investment for us, because a modern diesel with an aftertreatment fault cannot be diagnosed with a code reader and a guess. Diagnosis comes first on every job, and you get an estimate before work starts.

  • Can you do warranty or fleet work across several makes at once?

Mixed fleets are normal here — a single account routinely covers pickups, box trucks, semis, trailers, and equipment across a half-dozen makes, on one invoice with one point of contact. See fleet maintenance and management for how that is set up. Manufacturer warranty work has to go through a franchised dealer; anything we repair is covered by our own warranty terms.
